Sub-17: Ecuador Get Eliminated & Humiliated
Our boys at Chile were eliminated against a team that Ecuador never usually has a problem with, Bolivia. Ecuador played with two forwards this time (a little late there Javier Rodriguez). Ecuador said goodbye to Nigeria in a embarrassing fashion losing 4-1. Bolivia dominated most of the game and Ecuador could only muster one goal from Quiñonez.
Overall Ecuador had a terrible tournament only getting one victory against Venezuela, two ties and three loses. I don’t see any of these kids with a future in Europe besides De La Cruz but I won’t put my money on it. Karma got to Ecuador and made them receive 7 goals in two games and they well know that they didn’t even deserve to advance to the next round. Hopefully these “pelados” will get this experience and work hard to improve (especially Padilla). Thank god we have a kick-ass Sub-20 team.
