Ecuadorians Abroad: Week 5

By: Carlos | May 3rd, 2009 | No Comments »

Segundo Castillo
Castillo played the last three minutes of the game Sunderland vs. Everton which ended 0-2 in favor of the toffees.

Felipe Caicedo
Caicedo made it on the score sheet again when he scored the opener against Blackburn Rovers in a game that ended 3-1. He ended up getting booked for taking his shirt off during the celebration of his goal, I don’t see why he did it in the first place, the goal wasn’t that even that impressive or scored at the last minute..
Antonio Valencia
Antonio’s team Wigan drew against Bolton Wanders. Valencia looked very sharp the whole 90 minutes but couldn’t do anything to bring his team the three points at home.

Edison Mendez
PSV tied against NEC Niemengen 1-1 at home. At the 83rd minute of the game Edison was shown a red card for a bad tackle on the opponent.

Cristian Benitez & Pedro Quiñónez
Cristian Benitez dislocated his arm in the victory of Santos Laguna over San Luis at home. Benitez was carried away to see the severity of his injury. Pedro on the other hand played the whole 90 minutes.

Walter Ayovi
Despite Ayovi’s amazing performance, Monterry lost 2-3 against America at home. Below are the extended hightlights:

Aragon Espinoza
Standard of Belgium tied but Aragon is still rides the bench for his comments about the possible transfer to Benfica in the summer.

Joffre Guerron
Getafe is continuing its losing streak against Mallorca 2-1. As usual Guerron wasn’t even on the bench. Apparently not even the new manager didn’t give him a chance. Getafe is getting ever so closer to get relegated.

Cristian Noboa
Rubin Kazan thrashed Saturn Moscow 5-0. Noboa came off the bench at the 71st minute and scored at the 85th minute.

Luis Bolanos
Santos FC tied the second leg away in the Torneo Paulista 1-1 to Corinthians. Corinithians became champions of the Torneo Paulista. Bolanos played no part in this game as usual.

Cristian Lara
Deportivo Pereira won at home against Deportes Tolima 2-0. Lara didn’t play because of a injury.
