Ecuadorians Abroad: Week 6
Segundo Castillo
Castillo rode the bench in the game against the Spurs that the toffees tied 0-0.
Felipe Caicedo
Caicedo played 63 minutes in the Manchester Derby against United. He couldn’t do anything because of Rio Ferdinand’s excellent marking.
Antonio Valencia
Antonio’s team Wigan again lost away against West Brom 3-1. Valencia looked very sharp the whole 90 minutes but couldn’t do anything to bring his team back.
Edison Mendez
PSV finished the league with a clear victory against Willem II 3-0. Mendez missed the match because he is serving his suspension of the red card he was shown last week.
Cristian Benitez & Pedro Quiñónez
Santos lost a important game against Atlante away 1-2 and thus didn’t go to the liguilla. Benitez didn’t play because of his injury he had last week. Pedro played for the beginning 18 minutes and then was subbed for a forward because his team needed a victory and they were already down by two.
Walter Ayovi
Monterrey got dominated away to Pumas in a game that ended 3-0. Even though they lost, they are still in the liguilla. Walter played the whole game.
Aragon Espinoza
Standard of Belgium won against FC Bruges and have to wait until the next match to see if they win the title for the league. Aragon is till riding the bench.
Joffre Guerron
Getafe thrashed Osasuna 3-0 at home and the three points couldn’t have come at a better time since they are involved in the relegation battle. Guerron has moved up from looking at the game from home to looking at it from the bench.
Cristian Noboa
Cristian played exceptional in the victory over FK Tom’ Tomsk which his team won comfortably 4-0.
Luis Bolanos
Good news! His contract has ended with Santos FC and there is a strong possibilities of him going to Internacional of Porto Alegre and actually get play time.
Cristian Lara
Deportivo Pereira made a huge comeback playing against Millionarios. They were down by two goals in half-time but with the introduction during the start of the second half of Lara, he helped his team leave the game with three points with the score 3-2. The two last goals were scored at the last 3 minutes of the game.
