Yellow Fever
Several Ecuador players have one yellow card heading into the final Group A match. Six by my count: Mora, Hurtado, Dela Cruz, Mendez, E. Tenorio and Castillo. A lot of big names on that list.
Some have said too many yellows have been issued in this tournament so far. Remember, two yellows in the group stages and you’re out for the next game. Will this play into Coach Luis Suarez’ plans for the Germany match?
Suarez has said that he may make some changes, or at least give some players a greater rest, in the final Group A match against Germany next Tuesday. Suarez says that several players are dinged up and need a blow.
But might the yellow card issues play into his preparation? Since a spot in the second round is assured, he may try to ensure the team is in top and complete form for the next match. On the other hand, being first in the group is a pretty tasty goal.
What do you guys think?

There’s been a lot of yellows, but most of them have been wholly deserved. Ecuador took a lot of dumb yellows for wasting time.
