What’s a Hincha? Is There a Cure?

In Ecuador and other South American locales, hincha is a football fanatic who lives and dies with their team. /puts on half-glasses, switches to pedagogue voice/ Hincha comes from the infinitive verb to swell. So, tradition has it that hincha either refers to the great energy fans use to pump up their teams, or the endless hot air fans are always producing when talking about football. And to think some of you didn’t even know you were hincha.
