Wanted: Partner for Tin

One clear issue to emerge from the friendly against the Netherlands is that Ecuador will need a strong, complementary striker to play alongside Augustin “Tin” Delgado when he returns from injury. Felix Borja and Cristian Benitez have had some chances playing up front, but have not done enough to force Coach Luis Suarez’s hand. Youngsters like Felipe Caicedo haven’t been able to show much of anything yet. It seems clear to me that Carlos Tenorio, who produced some bright spots for La Tri in the recent friendly, is the man to partner with Tin. Should be a no-brainer.

I think Felipe Caicedo is the choice. He might be young but he has talent and I think ultimately he partners with Tin the best.

Hi Luis!

That’s why I was hoping F.C. could get onto the pitch versus Holland last week. Seems worth a shot to me. I’d like to see how pacy he looked against top notch competition. I still think he could be a decent World Cup sub when and if La Tri need a late goal.
