Volcano
This isn’t related to football, but I thought it important to put it out there anyway. You may have heard that Tungurahua, a 5,000-meter-high volcano in Ecuador’s Andean region, has erupted and continues to pour forth ash and lava. Well over 100,000 people have lost their homes, and thousands upon thousands of acres of farmland have been wiped out.
To learn more about what the Red Cross / Red Crescent is doing and how you might be able to help, check here (English) or here (Spanish). More pics here. That’s one bad mamma-jamma.
