Val Shines for Wigan
August 19th, 2006 | By: Trent | No Comments »
Ecuador midfielder Luis Valencia shined in his debut for Wigan in a 1-2 loss to Newcastle. Val was booked in the 55th minute and once or twice looked to me like he was slow to react on defense in the mid third of the field. Other than those minor things, he looked very good in his debut for the Latics. In fact, he gelled with his new mates quicker than I thought he would. And as reader El Simon pointed out, young Luis was signled out as a star of the match by the BBC.
Did I mention how stoked I am to be able to watch Val a lot more this season now that he’s in the Premiership?
