Val Doing His Thing at Wigan
Wigan take on Aston Villa today in English Premier League action. And it’s safe to say that Ecuadorian midfielder Luis Valencia has settled in nicely at Wigan while on loan from Villareal. And the folks at Wigan, he says, have really made him feel at home. Not least by letting him free from the tyranny of Argentine music.
“Everyone makes me feel welcome here in Wigan. In Villarreal we used to have eight Argentinian players in the dressing room who used to bully everyone into listening to their kind of music and I hated it. But at Wigan it seems really relaxed. I like the music and I’m happy.”
The question is: what are they listening to in the Wigan dressing room that so pleases Val?

he hasnt played regularyly for the past few weeks – i think he had a hamstring and his replacement played really well with scoring goals so his position is not so easy anymore. i also noticed that he didn’t play yesterday…is he injured again coz he wasnt on the bench either

paisas,
he’s out until the new year. he hurt himself pretty badly a couple of weeks back during practice. when he does come back, he’s gonna have to earn his spot on the team again; the guy that’s been covering him has been playing real well. i forgot the name, but he’s italian.
nevertheless i think the point is that val feels more at home with wigan than with villareal. i dont blame him, argentinian music blows.
our boy cristian “la panterita” benitez has been scouted by CHELSEA of all teams. they saw him play against Barcelona this weekend and supposedly liked what they saw. he might be on the same plane to europe as franklin salas this spring.

Cristian Benitez made a golazo against Barcelona Guayaquil. I think a Croatian team has offered for him (Dinamo Zagreb) and a Mexican team as well. La Sombra will probably be playing with Club America in Mexico next season.
