UDLC Now British
That’s what it says on his new EU passport at any rate. Ecuador and Reading defender Ulises de la Cruz has gained British nationality after playing in the UK for six years.
UDLC hopes that his new status will give him more mobility around Europe which may assist him if he leaves Reading and England for work on the continent. The man seems happy, so congrats is in order.

oh and Kevin, sorry about the Nascar joke I know that is very sensitive to alot of you yanks. Just remember it all depends where you have visited. SOmeone that has only seen Des MOines and Boise probably would not be so pumped about you precious states. Just think of us as americans with a little more personality.

Lads and Lasses: I’ve never deleted comments on this blog, and I really don’t won’t to start. I want everyone to generally feel free to discuss topics of their choosing, and to express varied opinions on those topics.
However…the trolling on this comment thread is extremely offensive. Please consider refraining from this type of ad hominem attacks in the future. That way, we won’t have to start censoring the expression around here.
Thanks, and happy footballing.
