UDLC: Fear No Germans
Aston Villa wing-back Ulises de la Cruz says there is no reason for La Tri to fear Germany this summer in their Group A World Cup tussle. The Ecuadorian international, whom we’ve recently shown to be an all around swell guy, thinks that playing teams such as Argentina and Brazil in qualifying more than prepares La Tri for battle with the Germans.
Said UDLC:
The team is strong and I believe we will go beyond the group stages. We have good tactics, although I think the team would benefit if more Ecuadorians played in Europe. Germany is a good team, but they’re not that good. We had to play against Brazil and Argentina in our qualifying matches, and South America has many good teams so I’m not worried about playing Germany.
Oh, snap!
