coolcool. He’s from Esmeraldas and he still rocks the African accent. Carlitos is articulate and always speaks from inside. The stuff about “not costing anything to dream” and “losing every friendly and winning the world cup” is inspirational stuff. If E. Tenorio’s the heart of the team, then C.T.’s the soul of the team.

dar – I saw the same interview with Super Teno on FSC. I didn’t know he spoke English at all, and I too was impressed with the interview and his sentiments for Owen.

I just hope that LFS doesn’t think that advancing to the 2nd round is good enough!!! This team is capable of going much further, they showed it in the first two games.

i personally think the whole german game was a bunch of b.s.Ecuador should have gotten a bunch of penalty shots and the germans should have gotten more yellow cards and a red card for kicking kaviedes in the face during the 19th min. it was obviously impossible for ecuador to win that one,with the beastly dirty playing germans and the completely unfair russian ref, all of them wat a coincidence huh? suarez should just be prepared for sunday, i think we have wat it takes to beat england

Coach Suarez needs to log off the Internet and coach his team. He’s too busy worrying what everyone’s saying. If he didn’t want the bad press why did he bench FIVE of his starters?!

The press is always going to be fickle. The way they see it, every team is only as good as their last match. No biggie; it sucks when everyone jumps off the bandwagon but they’ll be climbing back on after we beat England. The Brits are as bruised up as we are, plus they’re underestimating us. As long as we keep Beck-Man (as my Pops and every other Ecua calls him) from uncorking his free kicks, we can make it through to the next round. I smell an upset!

BTW, I saw Carlitos Tenorio break out English last night on Fox Sports. They asked him about the Owen injury and he said his heart went out to Owen for a speedy recovery. The guy’s by far the most enlightening and personable player on the team. If he can learn more English he might have cross-over appeal in the States as well, something most Ecuas haven’t been keen on doing.
