Costa Rica is sending observers to watch their Group A rivals in this week’s friendlies, including Ecuador. Erick Lonis, assistant to Ticos coach Alexandre Guimaraes, will attend the Ecuador-Netherlands match in Amsterdam on Wednesday before heading east to finalize the logistics of Costa Rica’s stay in Germany for the World Cup.
