Speaking of Borja

July 2nd, 2007 | By: Trent | 15 Comments »

…as someone was in the comments to a post below, on Saturday I went to a party wearing my Felix Borja Olympiakos tribute jersey, shown at right.

Some lady sees it, gets a look of recognition, and I think to myself, Wow, here at this get together in the middle of the United States, someone knows Olympiakos, or maybe even El Kangaroo?

Lady: “Do you work for Siemens?”

Me: “Um…no.”

Ah well.

At any rate, happy nearly-Independence Day for those who celebrate it.

Trent,
Did you ask the lady out? You could have told her that you are Ecuadorean and you know how to “score” like Borja.

Lol

Like we predicted KN and Christian the following appears to be the line up for tomorrow.
Mora and Hurtado out!!!!! This is the team we should have from the beginning

Fuentes de la delegación ecuatoriana dijeron que la más probable alineación para enfrentarse al Brasil de Robinho será con: Marcelo Elizaga, Oscar Baguí, Giovanni Espinoza, Jorge Guaga y Neicer Reasco, Antonio Valencia, Walter Ayoví, Segundo Castillo, Edison Méndez, Félix Borja y Cristian Benítez.

Very dissapointed in the last 2 games. Pathetic defense. I lost 2 liquor bottles v. Mexico. I hope they show something respectful v. Brazil. Vamos Ecuador!!

Freddy,
There are two things going for us. First the team for tomorrow is much better than before. Hurtado and Mora should be out. Second, Brazil might not want to win because they can still move to the next round without having to play Argentina or Paraguay. These are the two leading teams in copa america

GUys,
I think today is going to be a very good day for Ecuador vs Brazil. Our team is better and we might have a chance.

Anyway, today is july 4th in the states and we are celebrating it in the USA.

I hope I can celebrate.
