Song of La Tri

July 7th, 2006 | By: Trent | 4 Comments »

Have a looksee at what is being dubbed the Song of La Tri. Thanks to reader Jose Miguel for the tip. The lyrics are in Spanish, but that’s beside the point–you’ll get it either way. Lots of iconic images from this World Cup and from Ecuador in general.

Trent,

That was a really cool song. The lyrics actually gave me chills. “Mi pais tan chiquito cerquita del cielo” (My tiny country so close to the sky). Being from Quito that rings so true. We are located about twice as high as Denver, so when you drive a little closer to any of the mountains that surround the city, one can actually see clouds floating beneath. The refuge at Cotopaxi, the highest active volcano on earth, is taller than any mountain in the Alps.

Thank you for the video!!
