Ruud Behavior

Dutch star Ruud van Nistelroy watched the Carling Cup final from the sidelines just three days before the Netherlands’ friendly against Ecuador. Manchester United beat Wigan 4-0 to win the silverware, but Sir Alex Ferguson started the in-form Louis Saha in place of the Dutch striker. And folks, Ruud did not look happy after the match.

Although Ferguson chose Saha over van Nistelrooy—who never saw action in the match—the Man U. manager insisted that there was no trouble between he and the Dutch goal scorer. Sir Alex noted that Saha had already scored several goals in the Carling Cup tournament and deserved the start. And right on cue, Saha scored the second goal of the night.

Hopefully for the Orange (and for La Tri), van Nistelrooy will recover from his pouting session before the Wednesday friendly.

Finally, I’m so proud of myself for avoiding a “Why the long face?” joke. D’oh!
