Recre Want Bam Bam, Too?
Spanish first-division side Recreativo de Huleva are negotiating with Ecuador captain Ivan Hurtado. Recre is already the home of Ecuador midfielder Antonio Valencia, who is on loan there from Villareal.
Currently with Al Arabi of the Qatari league, El Bam Bam would make a great addition to the newly-promoted club. It’s true he’s no spring chicken and doesn’t have 5 or 6 top years ahead of him. Nevertheless, if Recre sign him to, say, a 2 or 3 year contract, I think it could work out well for both parties.
Also, it would be fun to see Hurtado and Valencia working together in Spain. In my (biased) estimation, Hurtado is one of the world’s most underrated defenders, while Valenca is one of the great unsung midfield talents.
Does anyone know where I can get a Recreativo de Huelva jersey? Seriously.
