Parsing the Definition of “Suspended”
February 7th, 2007 | By: Trent | No Comments »
So, you know that Patricio Urrutia and Jairo Campos were suspended for four ans six months respectively for their role in the LDU Quito / Barcelona dust up in December. Nevertheless, they’ve been playing for LDU in the Copa Libertadores and the FEF is fine with that.
Copa opponents Tacuary of Paraguay protested the pairs’ participation in a 1-1 draw in Asuncion. But Ecua football’s top brass have ruled that international competitions are not affected by the suspensions.
I’m sure this has nothing to do with raising money for and the profile of the FEF.
