Offside…Again
During the first half of Ecuador’s friendly draw against Colombia, La Tri’s attackers were whistled for no less that seven offside infractions. I think I had a pretty good view Ecuador’s frontline during that first half, and I’d say the first four of those calls were obvious.
The last three, however, were pretty clearly onside. The linesman just got trigger happy after awhile. That in turn made Ecuador, continuing with the pistol cliches, gun-shy for the remainder of the match. At any rate, I’m providing photographic evidence of one of the missed calls, with a pic I snapped during the first half of the friendly. You can see El Nine (nearest player in yellow shirt) is well onside. Ah, I guess I should just get over it.
