New National Team Call-ups for Spain Friendlies

Ecuador boss Luis Fernando Suarez has made some new call-ups in the wake of the Liga / Barcelona suspensions. Due to the row, Patricio Urrutia, Giovanny Espinoza and Edwin Tenorio will be unavailable for the December 28 and 30 friendly matches in Spain against regional teams from Galicia and Murcia.

Instead, expect to see Quinonez and others to step in (yeah, that link is a little wobbly on the info). Expect other changes as well.

I can’t tell you much about the teams that La Tricolor will be facing. Anyone have any better insight?

In the meantime, Feliz Navidad, Happy Holidays and all that goodness.

Man, what happened to all our players from Europe. They better be in Cuenca and Quito in time for the Sweden friendlies.

In the meanwhile, is la sombra going to Mexico or not? Necaxa (Aguinaga’s old club) is thinking about him.

rone: I’m pretty sure it does, although I don’t think El Tin was going to play any further for La Tricolor anyway. Depending of course on how ‘retired’ a footballer can ever be, anyway.
