Mina a Hero for FC Dallas
Ecuadorian international Roberto Mina scored for FC Dallas today to help the hoops beat MLS foe Chicago Fire. After being down 1-2, FC Dallas switched to a three-man attacking front, which paid off almost immediately.
Roberto Mina netted an unassisted goal in the 66th minute for the equalizer, while Kenny Cooper scored the game winner just four minutes later. As noted in this Washington Post article, Mina is still in the hunt for a spot on this summer’s World Cup squad. I hope Coach Suarez is keeping up with Mina’s exploits in the not-very-sexy MLS.
On May 24 Ecuador will face Colombia in a friendly in East Rutherford, USA. Just before that match, Red Bull New York will do battle with FC Dallas on the undercard. So the question remains: will Mina be playing in the first match, or the second?
