Mendez Gets Some Props

Ecuador midfielder Edison Mendez gets some love from ESPN, as he makes list of the “Five Players Whose Stock Rose” during the World Cup.

Very cool for Edison, although I’d have put Luis Valencia on that list instead. Mendez–to me–disappeared from time to time, surfacing only to take free kicks. Not as bad as David Beckham, but you get my point.

Anyway, congrats to Edison.
