Luis Suarez’s European Vacation
Coach Luis Suarez is back in Ecuador after gallivanting around Europe, checking in on some of the Ecuadorian players plying their trade (or convalescing) on the Continent.
Suarez dropped in on Villa Park to see Ulises de la Cruz, whose lack of recent playing time had the right-back worried about his form for the World Cup. Suarez maintains that although UDLC did not play in Aston Villa’s most recent league match, he was content with his situation at the club (yeah, right).
Suarez also said that Franklin Salas, who is recuperating from injury in Germany, was progressing well. Ecuadorian fans are well aware that a healthy Salas will bode well for their chances of advancing this summer.
Lastly, Suarez noted that he would this week release the list of players that will travel to Japan later this month for the friendly match.
