Luis is the Word
…it’s the word that you heard. As predicted, Luis Suarez will stay on as coach of Ecuador through Copa America and the next World Cup qualifying gauntlet.
A smart, and obvious, move by both the FEF and Suarez. He’s the most successful coach in national team history, and, unless he had a burning desire to coach his home team (Colombia), why would he go? Congrats to Coach Suarez and the football fans from the middle of the world.

suarez is allright… i would like him to stay for the copa america n some of the world cup qualyfin games for africa… I’ll want him to stay coach for another 2 years. In 2008 ecuador should pick another good coach… but this time they should try to get sum coaches from another country… lol we already had 2 colombian coaches let’s try a coach from europe

Why mess with success? Ecuador would’ve kept El Bolillo had the team not stunk up the joint at Copa América. There no reason to swap Suárez out.

Hey guys, it’s been a while.
I’m glad Suarez is back, but he needs to make some tactical changes. The team needs to have a back-up plan and become more offensive when behind. I truly believe we had a chance to win the game against England, but we didn’t have a second gear.
Cre.com reports that Mendez is headed to PSV in Holland. I hope it is true and he gets to play the champions league.
