I am involved in this project! It is wonderful - 100% of the funds are all going to make sure kids in Chimborazo have proper shoes and balls and money to buy a field for them to play on.
If you have any questions, I can always try and answer them or pass them on to the guys spearheading the entire operation. It is pretty inspirational work that they are doing.

Awesome, El Simon! Congrats on a great cause.

The project started in Victoria - where I am right now. So when I heard “Ecuador” and “Soccer” and “in Victoria” in the same sentence on community tv at 2:30AM I thought I was dreaming.
It is a great cause - if anyone wants information please let me know.

If you are wondering where the donated money will go, this is the order of priority for our funds:
1) Cost of shipping the goods to Ecuador, by boat
2) Cost of constructing a soccer field for the children, in Ecuador
3) To purchase new equipment, if necessary to reach our goals
4) To help with the local infrastructure, in Chimborazo
How can you donate?
1) Go to our webpage at GiveMeaning at: http://www.vicsoccer.givemeaning.com
2) Click “Donate now”.
3) Once done, click “Spread the word” and invite as many people as you can to donate.
Please continue to check our page at http://www.vicsoccer.givemeaning.com for updates and project progress reports. You can also visit our website at http://www.equal-opportunity.ca .
