LFS: S’up, UDLC?

August 31st, 2007 | By: Trent | 3 Comments »

Ecuador national coach Luis Fernando Suarez is publicly wondering what the hell Reading defender Ulises de la Cruz is up to these days.

UDLC was a no-show for the recent Bolivia friendly, and has thusly been left out of the upcoming matches against El Salvador and Honduras.

Sez the gaffer: “I’m waiting for him to talk directly to me to know the reasons for not being with the team. Until I get an explanation I feel he has got a lot of things to sort out. So I’m not counting on him for these games.”

Seems like UDLC, who is as we’ve said before one of the better guys in all of professional football, has some ’splaining to do to his coach.

Trent, The reason UDLC didn’t turn up to that game is cos the penny pinchers wanted him to travel half way around the world before finally arriving in G’quil. Just ‘cos the plane ticket was cheap and economy class.

Manu is correct. The FEF acted stupid. I prefer UDLC to stay in UK and improve his game. We need him to be in tip top shape for the eliminations. Those are the games that count.
