Left-Out Dudek Knocks Poland

Jerzy Dudek, controversially left out of the Poland squad, has commented on his country’s loss to Ecuador. And he’s not thrilled: “It’s painful. We’re in a very uncomfortable situation. Now we have to pick up the pieces. We’re devastated.”

Of course, former Poland striker Andrzej Szarmach isn’t much happier.

I’m glad Ecuador had won against Poland. Ecuador deserved to win. I know that Ecuador will do their best on their next few matches. With all due respect Poland can try harder. But it goes to show you guys that Ecuador can play very well in any place. Viva Ecuador!!!!!!!!!
