LDU Quito In Copa Libertadores Quarters
LDU Quito advanced to the quarterfinals of the Copa Libertadores with a 1-0 victory over Colombian hosts Atletico Nacional. Liga won the first leg 4-0 in Quito. Next up: the winner of the Internacional of Brazil and Nacional of Uruguay. Liga was paced by a 40th-minute goal from Ecuadorian international Edison Mendes. Liga’s Copa run has been phenomenal, but where is El Tin in all of this? Augustin Delgado will need to find the net a lot more often for the national team this summer.

LDU has played a decent tournament this time around, but they still need to show that they are a serious contender, they’re only going to do it winning games like the one that they played in Colombia, that’s how a club makes history.
