Kaviedes On the Move Again?
Peripatetic Ecuadroian international Ivan Kaviedes seems poised to move teams once again. Currently a member of Argentinos Juniors, Kaviedes has recently failed to finish full seasons with Porto (Portugal), Puebla (Mexico), Crystal Palace (England) and Ecuadorian sides Deportivo Quito and Barcelona (de Guayaquil). Kaviedes wants to move to a club where he will see more pitch time, possibly back in Guayaquil at Barcelona or rivals Emelec. If Kaviedes wants to win a spot on the World Cup squad, he’s got to demonstrate that he’s fit and prepared, but also that he’s somewhat settled wherever it is that he lands.

Well . . I hope that Kaviedes can finally find a team, everyone knows that he is a big fan of the club where he started (CS Emelec http://www.emelexista.com) But he is also a very expensive player, so there could be other ecuadorian teams that want to hire him for the ecuadorian league. We need “Nine´s” talent for a good presentation in Germany 2006

Hey there emelec–
You’re right about IK’s love for Emelec…I think he still has his Emelec tatoo! I’ll try to find a photo of it. And yep, it would be a waste not to have ‘Nine’ in Germany this summer.

[...] We’ve called brilliant Ecuadorian forward Ivan Kaviedes peripatetic. We’ve admitted he’s a bit of a head case. Right on cue, Kaviedes has all but inked a deal to leave Argentinos Juniors and join Deportivo Cuenca of the Ecuadorian national league top flight. Although ‘top flight’ is a transitory status, innit? After all, Cuenca are currently dead last in the premier league table. What will this move mean for all interested parties? [...]
