Jewell Lurves Him Some Valencia

September 8th, 2006 | By: Trent | 4 Comments »

Wigan boss Paul Jewell admits he’s already smitten with Ecuador midfielder Luis Valencia.

In fact, Jewell is already musing about signing Val on a permanent basis to play for the Latics in the Premiership. For most of us, this is not surprise; still, it’s great to see Val getting the props he deserves.

I think Valencia has been playing really well. There was an article on BBC i think about how Ecuadorians cant adjust to life in England -> so either it is a case of making the writer eat his words or imagine how good Valencia will be when he adjusts to life in Wigan !!

I had an opportunity to watch one of the games on TV and I was very happy to see him play well. He runs like a gizzele and has good instincts..

Hopefully he can learn to speak the language well, if not decently.

Does Jewell speak Spanish or not?

El Simon,
I would like to read the article if you can find it.

I think the only one who could not get used to life in England was El Tin. And I think he was to blame because he had the opportunity.

UDLC has been in England for several years, speaks the language and is doing very well.

I don’t think valencia will have a problem adjusting. He is young and will learn the language quickly.
