Injuries Cleared Up
Looks like all of the team’s injuries and illnesses are cleared up in front of the Costa Rica match. Luis Suarez has said that the entire team is training, although he hasn’t ruled out making some changes to the team for Thursday’s match.
Doesn’t what if any changes, so it’s probably Suarez blowing smoke again.

Hello Ecua fans
so if there are any changes who would we change? Segundo played Ok but I think I would switch him up with Lara. He’s quite creative and flys around the field. Also, now that I know he’s barely 5′3″ this may be the best match up for him. I mean would you play against the much bigger stronger Germans?!

Just wanted to congratulate Trent and Ecua blog team for the great job they’re doing on the Ecua blog. Hell, over the weekend the Ecuador blog was number one in the list of most active country blogs.
Good job guys

Thanks for the kind words, FRZ.
E4L, I think you’re right that barring injury, Lara’s time to shine probably wouldn’t be against the Germans next week.
Who knows if LFS is being sincere when he says he’s considering changes. I will have to admit that although I’m a big supporter of LFS, I was starting to get nervous as the WC approached.
But at this point, I’m willing to give him the (enormous) benefit of the doubt.

[...] Luis Suarez will use the same starting lineup against Costa Rica that he employed against the Poles. After some murmuring to the contrary, Suarez is using the old ‘if it ain’t broke don’t fix it’ approach. [...]

That’s right, if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
However, Lara could come in the second half if the team needs more creative spark in the mid-field.
That’s what Lara does best, turn around a match when it is being fought in the mid-field and Reasco and DLC are being contained by the opponents.

I think the German’s might not be used to a player of Lara’s style and with his quick feet, he could cause problems against a defence that did not look great in the opening game.
