How Excited Am I?
I’m glad you asked. On the excited scale, between “Not Excited” and “Arsene Wenger Asked Me To Suit Up For The Champions League Final Excited”, I’m somewhere around “Pretty Damn Excited”. I’ve received my tickets for the May 24 Ecuador v. Colombia friendly in New York! (Note: like most New York sporting events, the game will actually be held in New Jersey, USA.) The match will be the first friendly after the release of the final World Cup roster, so the Ecuador side won’t be full of players with no chance to see action this summer in Germany.
What’s more, an MLS match between Red Bull New York and FC Dallas will precede the international match. Say what you will about MLS, but a double-header of football makes for a cracking evening.
Are any of our intrepid readers planning on attending the match?

I’m about as excited as I was when I got that Sega Genesis for my birthday. I’ll definitely be there. The atmosphere should be great (on par with with Ecua-Peru match three years ago) and Ecuadorian fans might actually be outnumbered this time. Hopefully Edwin Tenorio will make the roster this time around; never a dull moment when there’s a loose cannon bouncing around the pitch!
Can’t make it the Red Bull game before hand, my “dental appointment” isn’t until 4:30.
PS wouldn’t it be funny if Mina played back-to-back games on the same night?
