Look sure the defence is sucking but we need to think about how good Mendez, Benitez, Tenorio, and Valencia function. We will go to South Africa. Just look at the defence we had in the beginning of the Germany 06 qualifiers. Poroso and Chala? Now we have better players like Guagua and la sombra. I did not see it but connected to Radio Quito via internet and listened to the game. I think the defense is still weak. Also, we were missing 5 key players (Mendez, De la Cruz, Valencia, Reasco, Kaviedes) also Carlos Tenorio. Lets see what happens when we play Venezuela. They tied up with Panama 1 to 1.
