Friendly Selection vs. Netherlands

Ecuador manager Luis Suarez has released his list of 18 players that will be in the squad for the friendly against the Netherlands in Amsterdam on March 1.

Notably, the goalkeepers included are Edwin Villafuerte of Deportivo Quito and Cristian Mora of LDU Quito. Of the eighteen slected, only four players are not based in Ecuador: Ulises De la Cruz (Aston Villa), Iván Hurtado (Al Arabi of Qatar), Antonio Valencia (Recreativo de Huelva of Spain), and Carlos Tenorio (Al Saad of Qatar).

Update: This report claims that 19 players have been selected by Coach Suarez, adding forward Felipe Caicedo of Basel to the mix.
