Felipe Caicedo No Swiss Miss

November 17th, 2006 | By: Trent | 6 Comments »

I myself had scored plenty of goals by the time I was eighteen. Although now that I think of it, very few of those were scored in major European domestic tournaments.

Not so the case for Ecuador striker Felipe Caicedo, who netted two goals for FC Basel in their come-from-behind win in the Swiss Cup. It took only 55 minutes for Caicedo, left in the pic, to earn man of the match honors.

Good to see the young guy breaking into the first team these days.

deBristol: Sorry for any confusion–I did not play professional football. Only through University. The opening above was just a little self-deprecation.

Thnaks for commenting!

debristol,

udlc is benched cos he and Reading’s captain play the same position =( i’m afraid the best years of his man’s career have been squandered.
