El Nacional Angry Over Ref

March 9th, 2006 | By: Trent | 1 Comment »

The World Cup is several months away, but it’s never too early to complain about officiating! Ecuadorian club side El Nacional wants the Colombia referees from its 3-4 loss to River Plate in the Copa Libertadores match held March 8 to be sanctioned by the Confederacion Sudamericana de Futbol (CONMEBOL). River’s second goal of the match was highly disputed, and likely did not cross the goal line. This blog has already heard that El Nacional fans are not happy with the officiating from last night.
