Ecuador 2-1 Sweden
January 19th, 2007 | By: Trent | No Comments »
Ecuador defeated Sweden 2-1 in Cuenca, as neither team fielded their strongest side. As far as I can tell, Sweden featured only Scandanavia-based players, while La Tricolor started only one player from last summer’s World Cup team.
Eder Vaca opened the scoring for the home side, and Super Teno, Carlos Tenorio, closed the deal with another nice strike. The visitors pulled one back at the death, courtesy of Rade Prica.
I didn’t get to see the match, so that’s all I have. If anyone has more info, email me at assistanttotheregionalmanager [at] yahoo.com and I’ll post and credit your info.
