De la Cruz Speaks

March 3rd, 2006 | By: Trent | No Comments »

Aston Villa man Ulises De la Cruz has spoken out after the friendly match against the Netherlands. UDLC noted that Holland may well be the most complicated European opponent that Ecuador have ever faced, but that the lone goal of the match was not indicative of the run of play. That’s mostly true, except that the Dutch owned the beginning of each half. Also, UDLC said that his lack of playing time at Villa Park this season will not adversely affect his conditioning in anticipation of the World Cup. Well, of course he’s going to say that, but it would be much mo’ better if he could get some more game-time experience leading up to the summer.
