Bam Bam Speaks
May 10th, 2006 | By: Trent | No Comments »
Ecuador Captain Ivan “Bam Bam” Hurtado speaks truth to power. The World Cup defender gave an interesting interview here, where he touched on many topics. One of the most interesting to me was the subject of Ecuadorians playing abroad. (Hurtado plays in Qatar.) Hurtado blames the relative lack of Ecuadorians playing abroad on several sources, including short-sighted football administrators in Ecuador and the (un)professionalism of the players who do get a chance to play on the exterior.
