Baby World Cup Quarters
I know what you’re thinking–that those who follow the Baby World Cup fall into two categories: the parents of the 12-year-old participants, and me. True enough, but for crissakes, it’s called the Baby World Cup! Now that’s just cute. Anyway, the final eight ‘countries’ battle it out today in Quito for a spot in the semi-finals. The headline match pits ‘Ecuador’ versus ‘the Netherlands’. Can the baby La Tri get revenge for last month’s 0-1 friendly loss in Amsterdam? Stay tuned! And by the way, the top scorer in the tournament so far is the fake-Ukranian Henry Guayasamin with a whopping 16 goals. Could he be any relation to Oswaldo Guayasamin?
