Alex Aguinaga Speaks on La Tri

Not many names shine brighter in Ecuadorian football history than does Alex Aguinaga’s. The retired Aguinaga was recently in Venezuela promoting a Copa American tournament for the mentally handicapped when he had a chance to discuss La Tricolor’s World Cup squad and chances this summer in Germany. Aguinaga emphasizes the advanatge the team will enjoy having finally been to a World Cup (in 2002). He also hopes that by the time Ecuador face Germany in Group A play on June 20, the hosts will have already qualified for the next round.

Hi there, RUECUA. I’m sorry that I don’t have time to translate on the site for you today, but you might be able to do so yourself on the web. Copy the address of the linked page, then go to a translation site like http://babelfish.altavista.com. Paste the link address where shown and translate it from Spanish to (I assume) English.

There are probably better translating sites out there that that one. At any rate, most translators will leave you with a clumsy, not entirely accurate version of the page you translated, but it’s better than nothing.
