A Good Two Weeks for Damian Lanza

Last week, Aucas goalkeeper Damian Lanza surprised a lot of people by being named to Ecuador’s World Cup squad. This week, we learn that Lanza will remain in Germany after the tournament to undergo trials with at least two German teams, one of which is in the Bundesliga. He won’t yet say which Bundesliga team is interested in his services, but it would certainly be a big jump for Lanza. If the rumors prove true, there could be a whole slew of Ecuas in Europe next season.
